Hiking Trails

Over 300 miles of trails exist for your exploration in Summit County. There are hikes suited for every mood and every level of hiker. Short scenic hikes dot the county, or you could put a Colorado 14er under your belt over at Quandry. Every other level of hiking enthusiast is welcome as well, and you can find the remains of old mining camps dotting the landscape. So get out there and take the family hiking, for a fun, free outdoor adventure.

Frisco Adventure Park

Head south on Highway 9 to the Frisco Peninsula, where you’ll find the iconic and appropriately named Frisco Adventure Park. This easily accessible, diverse playground boasts activities galore for the whole family. You’ll find miles of hiking and biking trails, lakeside camping, a free skate park, a bike park, a disc golf course and a spectacular log-built day lodge. In the winter, warm up in the lodge in front of a roaring fireplace or grab refreshments from the snack bar.
