Double Diamond is a family-owned restaurant at the base of the Super Bee lift in East Village, and it is known for its food, service and prime ski-in, ski-out location. You’ll want to stop here for the views alone, but come hungry and enjoy a good meal on the mountain. You’ll appreciate personalized service from Dave, the owner, who will immediately make you feel welcome. This is the place where locals and visitors mix easily, and ski stories and laughs are shared around the bar. Back in the 1980s, this was base operations for the U.S. Nationals ski competition, and many patrons reminisce by watching current races from the deck. The Double Diamond is open daily, serving lunch and dinner. Colorado-style specialties like BBQ ribs, smoked trout and homemade chili are on the menu, as well as hand-tossed pizzas, a variety of appetizers and craft beers.
