A Path for Everyone
A paved rec path wraps around the entire county!
Take a leisurely bike ride on the long paved paths and see the county without fighting traffic. A paved trail wraps the whole way around Dillon Lake, tying into a pave trail system in Dillon that follows the Blue River, follows the Snake River all the way to Keystone, and runs through Breckenridge along the Blue River.
Local shops offer shuttles to the top of various trail heads, one of the most popular being Vail Pass. There are plenty of family-friendly outings available.
Take a shuttle!
Many local shops offer shuttles to the top of Vail Pass.
If you have limited mobility, are short of breath due to altitude, or just want to see more terrain, this is a great time to try an E-Bike. They are not allowed on many of the hiking trails, but they are welcomed on the rec paths.
So How can I find the free trails all over the county?
Mountain bikers have a great community, and you can find them on social media talking about trail conditions. There is no website that compares to the MTB Project for planning a bike route. Trails are rated for difficulty, and tons of users keep current information coming for every trail in the county!
